Tall vase, wheelthrown with a dark, iron rich and speckled stoneware and fired in gas reduction with a chun (or jun) glaze during my artist's residency at Auckland Studio Potters, NZ. Where the glaze is thin, the dark, speckled clay body comes through very clearly. Where it is thicker the chun blue yields a lighter tone and accentuates the large iron specks. Dishwasher safe.
